Join us!Transaction Execution ServicesOur Transaction Execution Services group brings a methodical and action-oriented approach to identify and create value for our clients. We provide private equity buyers and sellers with a broad continuum of knowledge and tools for diligence, merger planning and post-merger integration, carve-outs (stand-alone and integrated), and sale preparation.The team combines Integration Management Office (IMO) Separation Management Office (SMO) expertise with deep Finance & Accounting, Data & Analytics, Operational and Private Equity knowledge across a range of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g. synergy and carve-out diligence) and post-deal (e.g. integration planning, execution and tracking). As a Vice President, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing M&A projects, focused on the CFO agenda and Finance function. You'll execute and manage projects across sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions.This role will be based in our NYC or Dallas office locations and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.What You'll Do:Lead small client teams and support larger, more complex projects in planning and executing operational diligence, merger integration and carve-out initiatives, to include:Finance & Accounting function supporting the overall organization's strategic priorities during and immediately after a transactionFinance & Accounting operating model development & executionDay 1 readiness, 100-day planningTSA development and operationalizationSynergy identification and model developmentDepending on the size of the engagement, support or lead the IMO SMO, and Finance workstream, including development of Finance & Accounting functional integration, carve-out plans and execution activities, with heavy focus on cross-functional interdependencies by:Facilitating due diligence meetings focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current state business processes and enabling technologyUnderstand client strategy and investment priorities and embed those in our engagement deliverables Assist with the development of presentations for client proposals and thought leadership materialsDrive the development and enhancement of Accordion's M&A methodologies (diligence, merger integration, carve-out, etc.) and approaches to client deliveryMentor and coach our consultantsTravel to client site as neededIdeally, You Have:Detailed knowledge of and experience in the Finance & Accounting functionMinimum of 5+ years of professional experience working in Finance function in merger integration, carve-outs, business transformation and change managementExperience in one or more of the following: general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning, order-to-cash and purchase-to-payKnowledge of and experience with financial information systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Oracle, Hyperion and or other common systemsExperience in financial process benchmarking, finance organization design, process redesign, shared services, process outsourcing and or transition service agreements (TSA)Consulting firm industry experience preferredOutstanding written and verbal communication skills to influence both internal and external relationshipsSuperior problem-solving and analytical skills that can be utilized to translate disparate data into meaningful insights for our clientsPrivate industry experience preferredPrior experience serving interim or permanent finance roles (i.e. VP Finance, Controller or CFO) helpful but not requiredMBA preferredIdeally, You Are:Excited to be part of a growing team, with a focus on driving future growthPassionate about delivering exceptional client serviceKnowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, particularly within the office of the CFOWilling to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole pictureComfortable managing projects with multiple complex workstreams while also focused on your single workstream (you are managing and doing)A self-starter with a strong work ethicFull of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organizationAble to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessaryA team player, able to work with team members across all levelsSomeone who enjoys mentoring others and doing meaningful workA leader of others; you lead by exampleSalary: $180,000 to $200,000 + benefits + bonusActual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.Accordion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
