About the RoleThe Platform Infrastructure team at iCapital plays a critical role in keeping the production and development environments running smoothly and securely. This role will utilize advanced cloud capabilities to facilitate the Platform Infrastructure strategy of market agility and lean operating principles with a strict focus on quality to meet the ever-growing demands of our clients. iCapital is seeking a highly collaborative, creative and intellectually curious Platform Engineer who is passionate about forming and implementing cutting-edge cloud computing capabilities. This individual will take on diverse responsibilities in a prominent role, interacting with all areas of the business.ResponsibilitiesBuild highly available solutions across the entire SDLC stack with primary focus on an internet facing fintech terface with iCapital acquired companies and work with a team of solutions architects to create a roadmap to integrate the acquired company's offering onto iCapital's platform.Keep up to date with AWS' latest offerings and provide solutions that align with the latest industry standards.Develop software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows.Design and manage a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration.Qualifications10+ years of AWS Cloud Architecture or Solutions Architect work to include experience integrating solutions that are monolithic architecture with solutions that are a micro-services architecture10+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 8 years of AWS experience10+ years of CICD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework8+ years of Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environmentStrong Linux OS-level and command-linescripting knowledge and configuration management principlesExpert knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDBCoding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainablereusable code in Python, Ruby or Java is desired and prior experience as a software engineer is strongly desired5+ years of experience with TerraformExceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutionsExperience building a Microservice based architectureExperience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshootingdebugging skillsAble to design and implement complex, but easily managed, automated infrastructureExpert level knowledge of networkingExperience in system tuning and performance testingAWS certifications are a plusBenefitsThe base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $190,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
