Service Technician (Union 701)

As an Automotive Technician (Journeyman) you will quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions. Journeyman you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. The jobs are challenging, and extensive training is available to those who are career focused.Job Responsibilities:Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership andor Mopar standardsDiagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specificationProvide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairsExplain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customersContinuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing spect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.Job Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician is preferredValid Journeyman Card is a plusHold a minimum of 3 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications is preferredExperience with import products is a plusHold a valid driver's licenseTeam oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer serviceWorking knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.Job Type: Local 701 Union Full-timeExpected hours: 40hrsper weekFull Benefits In Accordance with 701 Union Contract:Pay: $70,000+per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySaturdays requiredEEOC employer.
