Position: Pediatric ICU Nurse (PICU)Location: Bronx, NYType: 13-week Contract, extension eligibleSchedule: 3x12, Day 7am - 7:30pm Rotating weekendsWeekly Pay Rate: $3,240Overview: PICU nurses care for the most severely ill children and adolescents who need the highest level of medical care.Requirements Associates Degree in Nursing NYS License Registered Nurse Valid AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS IV Certification 2 years of pediatric ICU experienceResponsibilities Typical nursing duties include measuring blood pressure, following oxygen levels, tracking urine output, inserting IVs, changing wound dressings, administering antibiotics, adjusting ventilators, and analyzing lab results Calculating drug dosage, titrating medication doses, administering continuous medication infusion and monitoring patients for the effects of medication Maintain patient hemodynamic stability with proper nursing interventions as ordered Prepares, administers, and records any additional prescribed medications Monitor, adjust and manage ventilator settings
