What You'll DoAs the Finance Manager, Production at Madwell, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations for Starfish, our Sibling production company. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including client services, production, and senior leadership, to ensure financial efficiency, accuracy, and growth for Starfish.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Managing Starfish' billing and invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognitionOverseeing monthly and quarterly financial reconciliations, including general ledger and account reconciliationsLeading the budgeting and forecasting processes, working with Head of Content, Starfish and Head of Finance, Madwell to create accurate financial projectionsEnsuring accurate time tracking, payroll, and resource allocation reporting to optimize team utilization and profitability for all production projectsDeveloping and implementing enhanced financial reporting and analysis systems to support strategic decision-makingManaging vendor relationships and accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with broader company policiesCollaborating on the implementation and refinement of financial systems to support client profitability and overall financial healthOur Must-HavesStrategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to financial managementStrong attention to detailExpertise with general ledger functions, including QuickBooks or other company accounting systemsAdvanced skills in Excel andor Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze and present data clearlyExcellent communicator, comfortable presenting to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersTeam-oriented, adaptable, and ready to support colleagues across departmentsWhere You've Been5+ years experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a creative agency, production company or entertainment companyExperience with production or project-based accounting preferredStrong track record in financial management, including budget oversight, forecasting, and reconciliationsLines of ReportingReporting to: Head of FinanceMadwell ValuesAdaptabilityExperimentationIndependencePeopleDiversityInitiativePartnershipSafe SpaceOpen MindsetDiscipline of VisionIf you're interested in learning more about our values, check out our website: Diversity CommitmentThe stress of job searching can make you wonder if you're enough.
