Our purpose guides every decision we make, from the tools we develop to the relationships we nurture with our Members.Role OverviewThe mission of the Senior Financial Analyst is to assist the Head of Business Finance, Agency Execution and the Liquidnet Division leadership to evaluate the division's progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans. The hybrid role includes establishing accurately past division performance, product by product and on a regional basis, down to the entity level, in order to support decision making and to forecast the division's future financial results.Support the Liquidnet (LN) Division Head of Business Finance whose function oversees a broad arena of matters including income, expenses, taxes, capital expenditures, investments, budget process, and performance ratios. Role Responsibilities•Be the bridge between regional finance team and the business in presenting financial results in the monthly PL reviews for assigned business division•Track performance vs budget for revenue and costs, margin contribution and net income, by product, by region. Performing variance analysis MoM, YoY to explain differences in performance and leading to improvement plans.•Examining and evaluating the cost-efficiency of each department of the division in defining KPIs e.g. revenue per head, cost per trade.•Controlling costs; implementing a cost ownership system in which heads of departments are owners of their costs and report back on realized vs budgeted costs.•Understanding and ensuring the appropriateness of the Group cost allocation system. •Creating, updating and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the division's future operations.•Produce and distribute monthly reports for the Liquidnet leadership and managers to enable them to understand performance and achieve their goals.•Ability to influence senior leadership through financial interpretation and explanation•Working with individual departments to assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.•Translating business opportunities in numbers for the division to expand or grow. Mapping out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments. Generating three- to five-year financial forecasts. •Help front office managers develop new opportunities and manage existing businesses in a manner that is consistent with the firm's long-term strategic objectives;•Prepare any CRF's (Contract request forms) that are required by the division and assist in getting the necessary approvals in place for the firm to move forward with the new hire or resigning of an existing employee. •Keep track of all CRF's within the division regardless or their status,•Oversight of the Liquidnet Division's related CMFs.•Assist in the review and publishing of the monthly Global Flash results for the Liquidnet Division.The LN SFA works in close collaboration with Finance to best understand the standards and methods used to model firmwide past performance and forecasting. The LN SFA has mechanisms in place to make sure HR updates are frequent enough to be able to adjust the people cost and provide an up-to-date performance.The LN SFA also works in very close cooperation with all Group support and control functions to understand their interaction with the division and ensure a commensurate recharge.Experience CompetencesEssential•Undergraduate degree in a business-related field (concentration in finance, accounting or economics preferable) or 5+ years of relevant work experience equivalentKnowledge:•Strong understanding of accounting principles•In-depth knowledge of what a good control environment looks likeSkills:•Ability to make a difference; change leader with a track record of 'delivery' in dynamic and challenging environments•Excellent written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels•Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities to meet deadlines•Collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across functional areas and teams•Excellent attention to detail, quality, and control, while also appreciating the big picture•Ability to analyze problems, propose remedies, and implement a solution•Hands-on approach, working and supporting other areas of the Group as neededDesiredExperience & Tools:•Demonstrated experience with complex financial modeling, such as business case analysis (ROI, NPV)•Competency with databases, including creating queries and manipulating data•Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion, or OneStream and Power BIKnowledge:•Knowledge about changes in global regulations and the desire to expand knowledge baseSkills:•Track record of developing and maximizing the potential of team members•Strong interpersonal skills; client service oriented•Ability to react to changing requirements and adjust processes and approachesJob Band & Level: Manager 6 $140,000-$160,000#LI-Hybrid #LI-MID #LNETNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
