Job Title: Paralegal, Estates and Trust Location: In-office, Rockville, MD Hybrid: After initial training (1-2 days working from home) Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year Hours per Week: 40 hours Flexible Hours: Options like 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Our client is a mid-sized law firm in Montgomery County, MD, with over 45 years of experience in providing client-focused legal services. They are currently seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support their growing practice, assisting with estate and trust administration. This role involves client interaction, document preparation, legal research, and coordination with various parties to ensure efficient estate management. Client Overview: Company: Stein Sperling, a mid-sized law firm with 45+ years of client-focused service Employees: 150 total, including 60 attorneys Work Environment: Collegial, supportive culture with a focus on compassion and integrity Job Description: We are looking for a Trusts & Estates Paralegal with 2-3 years of experience to support our busy and growing practice. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless administration of estates and trusts while providing exceptional service to our clients.Key Responsibilities: Assist with estate and trust administration, including reviewing estate planning documents such as Wills and Trusts. Draft probate petitions, accountings, and financial statements. Prepare and review estate tax returns and related supporting documentation. Maintain attorney calendars and case files. Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, the Register of Wills Office, courts, creditors, and third-party attorneys. Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys. Perform legal research and other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in estate and trust administration or related legal work. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant legal software. Knowledge of estate tax return preparation is a plus. Experience with drafting and recording real estate deeds is preferred. Collaborative, down-to-earth personality, with a desire to be part of a positive workplace culture.
