Accounting Manager

Who you are: The Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Controller and work closely with the Accounting team members. The Accounting Manager will support in the preparation of financial statements, reconcile the balance sheets and cash accounts, participate in the audit process, and analyze trends to influence positive financial results across multiple business units including our various full-service restaurants and Daily Provisions. The Accounting Manager will make sure all deadlines are achieved, and all work products are of the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting, an analytical mindset and a sense of urgency while being able to build relationships with key team members across the company.What you'll do:Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growthSupport monthly financial close processPrepare and review various monthly activities including journal entries related to occupancy expenses and fixed assetsEnsure fixed asset additions are recorded properly, validating depreciation start dates and useful livesPerform and review reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to: prepaids, accrued expenses and fixed assetsReview bank account reconciliationsSupport the annual financial statement audit process and serve as a key point of contact for external audit partnersSupport ad hoc projects or analyses as neededWhat we need from you:5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance or related experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality or retail industryBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA is preferred but not required)Maintain a strong sense of urgency while ensuring timely and accurate reportingAbility to exercise discretion with confidential informationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)NetSuite knowledge a plus but not requiredWhat you'll get from us:Annual salary range of $95,000 - $105,000, plus bonus potential*Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurancePaid Time Off to support you with an active life outside of workPaid Parental LeaveLife InsuranceFlexible Spending Options (health care, dependent care, transit & parking)Employee Assistance Program to support overall mental wellbeingExclusive access to primary care, mental health, and other healthcare servicesAnnual dining credit and 51% dining discount throughout the USHG family of restaurantsMatched 401(k) to help you invest in your futureAccess to the USHG HUGS Employee Relief Fund*The above represents the expected salary range for this position.
