Further, this position will collaborate closely with but not limited to North America Sales and Marketing, Global Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative, Production, Finance, Legal and Customer Service.This person will also work with the Global Online and Technology teams, building onsite pages, features, and programming. To continually optimize the user experience and business. They will also oversee North America day-to-day online operations of the site relating to promotions, product forecasting, inventory and customer service. The ED is responsible for reviewing analytics and developing actions from insights related to key performance drivers such as conversion, qualified traffic and opt-ins, new buyers, repeat buyers, sales, average order and units per order by platform and channel. In this role, the person will also work across various teams (offline NA, Global Ecommerce, Operations, Global marketing, retail stores, creative, education and sales teams) to create a branded online experience that is not only representative of the customer's offline experience but harnesses digital technologies to make the brand online experience truly unique and an experiential best-in-class shopping destination. The person must understand the needs and expectations of the online businesses models within MAC Cosmetics.The Executive Director will report directly to the President, Digital and Online North America as well as a dotted line to the NA GM of MAC Cosmetics. This role will work closely but not limited to North America brand, Global Ecommerce teams, Planning, Finance, Creative, Production, Analytics and Customer ServiceOperations teams. This role will have a team dedicated to the brand's North America Ecommerce businessesResponsibilitiesStrategy and Sales GoalsCreate seasonal ecommerce marketing and promotions strategy and ensure all projects support the Online P&L and brand strategy.Manage business analysis of all marketing programs and P&L impact; continually optimize initiatives.Research new technology to improve site KPIs.Lead NA Ecommerce team in site analytics to access health of online business and inform actions.PL ManagementManage and optimize A&P budget to maximize ROI, in partnership with the Digital Catalyst team.Manage daily sales calendar and monthly sales forecasting.Lead analysis of key business metrics and site performance, including ROI for each program and make recommendations based on results to increase KPIs.Present ongoing analysis to teams and key stakeholders to share pertinent learnings.Marketing & PromotionsDevelop and implement the seasonal online marketing calendars to marry offline marketing initiatives. Create online-only content, products, and events throughout the seasons which enable a best-in-class experience for the consumer while meeting or exceeding the weekly sales plan. Develop and manage the advertising and promotions budget for all such programs. Lead the team in executing seasonal vision from concept to launch.Promote and execute best-in-class online user experience methodologies that drive engagement and conversion.Identify key new business opportunities. Implement all phases of programs and execute all legal elements, including negotiations and contracts.Work with Brand Operations to take advantage of cost efficiencies for marketing and promotional programs. Oversee all promotional product forecasts.Work closely with Marketing, Public Relations, Special Events, and North America Sales to optimize offline advertising and partner relationships in order to drive online awareness and increase opt-ins and revenue.Oversee Online Inventory Planning to maintain appropriate sell-through and merchandising of limited life items and forecasting of new product tegration with Brand Digital Marketing ProgramsManage and support integration for Brand Digital Marketing programs.Collaborate and lead brand digital marketing initiatives and integration to Online.Oversee planning and support for optimal site exposure to elevate program for best interaction and consumer engagement.Provide guidance as needed on special projects and site features to build brand awareness or support external web Manage relationship with online retailers.Drive business to achieve sales and Brand goals.Develop and maintain marketing calendar for retailer site.Partner with North America counterparts and head of Global EM Commerce to ensure synergies between online and offline.Work with retailer for seasonal programming and promotions.Oversee the creation and execution of all online-exclusive promotional activities and merchandising strategy, including launches and repromotes.Develop new programs and content to grow business through special programs, customer acquisition, and retention.Maintain product launch calendar for each retailer website.Manage implementation and QA of promotion plans.QualificationsMust have a proven track record of 10+ years of online marketing experience. E-commerce experience strongly preferred. BABS required, MBA preferred.Must be able to translate offline brand vision to the online channel and execute strategies that lead the company consistently towards that visionStrong skills in strategy and planning, budget and P&L management and vendor selection and managementNeeds to be a creative thinker and problem solver, thrive in fast paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.
