Its steadfast dedication to sustainability and innovation drives the developmentof solutions that improve project outcomes and positively impact the planet.Electronic Hardware EngineerWe have an exciting and important opportunity for the right person to join our IntelligentHVAC Systems engineering and product development team to design and commercializeour own unique, purpose-built HVAC systems as an Electronic Hardware Engineer. This is ahands-on and highly visible opportunity in a rapidly growing and evolving company with lotsof room to grow! We are seeking a person with at least 5 years demonstrated experiencewith designing and testing of complex electronic systems such as embedded devices,wireless devices, and power electronics systems.Major Areas of Responsibility:•Support design and development of electronic control hardware for HVAC systems•Build prototypes, modify, test, and troubleshoot as needed the electronic hardwareand associated HVAC system, components, and instruments.•Support design and development of electronic circuit boards including selection ofappropriate electronic components•Support HVAC system build up, modifications, and testing•Utilize typical electrical test equipment to analyze and troubleshoot board andsystem level electrical issues•Ensure all designs, tests, and development activities are well documented•Develop procedures and manuals as necessary•Support andor solve electronics packaging issues including electrical isolation,sealing, thermal management, interconnection, electromagnetic interference (EMI),etc.Job Location: Carrollton, TX Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience:•Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required•5 years of demonstrable experience including 3 in hardware product development•Broad knowledge of electronic control systems including embedded hardware aswell as power electronics•Hands-on experience with testing electronic components and systems withembedded electronics •Good understanding of technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, power management,sensor control, USB, UART, I2C, and various bus communication technologies.•Experience with current microprocessor devices and technologies including ARMSOCs, various microcontrollers, flash, and memory.•Good understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors,transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film and Ceramic) used for powerconversion•Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design and micro-processors•Proficiency with basic EE tools such as Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, SignalGenerators etc.•Experience with design of analogdigital circuits and micro-processors, PCB designand layout preferred•Familiarity with embedded firmware and software and ability to modify and update asneeded•Working level knowledge of embedded C, and Linux and Linux operating system•Familiarity and use of current of electronics design and simulation tool suites•Demonstrated experience in using electronic CAD tools such as KiCad,OrCADCadence, and Altium.
