Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyER Job ID30865105 Job TitleRN - ED - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2695.75 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date03032025 End Date05312025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend required) Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department nursing License: New York State RN License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or BSN Program enrollment - EPIC experience preferred - English proficiency: Read, Write, Speak Job Description: - Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs while applying critical thinking skills in patient management.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.- Educate patients and caregivers, considering their readiness to learn, about health promotion and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, ensuring efficient use of resources.- Role model tenets of Relationship-Centered Care, including Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, and more.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating opportunities for improvement.- Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional standards and evidence-based practices.- Participate in formal and informal peer reviews and contribute to quality and safety practices.- Perform charge nurse duties, coordinate supplies, and escalate staffing or material deficits as needed.- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital regulations.- Facilitate patient throughput to enhance patient experience and care delivery.- Contribute to professional development, supporting clinical colleagues and self-improvement through continuous learning.
