Fleet Mechanic

Sigma Continental is a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground out of the Pittsburgh North terminal in Zelienople, Pa. Our team maintains safety as a priority, has a service-oriented attitude, is reliable and organized, possesses effective time management skills while complying with safety rules and policies. If this sounds like something that is a good fit for you, we want to speak to you!Available Shifts (2-3 shifts Per Week Minimum)Sunday: 5am - 10amMonday: 5am - 10amTuesday: 5am - 10amWednesday: 5am - 10amThursday: 5am - 10amFriday: 5am - 10am* Up to 40 Hours Available: Ability to start as early as 5am and work until 10am, then option to start at 4pm and work until 9pm.Must have basic mechanic knowledge of the following vehiclesFord E-450 (Gas-Engine) Step VansFord TransitsGMC Sierra Cargo VansDodge Promaster VansCore ResponsibilitiesPerform weekly preventative maintenance inspectionOil ChangesSpark Plug ChangesBrakes (Pads, rotors, calipers, etc.)Ball JointsWheel BearingsDOT Inspection Related ItemsGeneral Requirements:Must be 21 years of age or older.Valid driver's license with good driving recordMust pass a drug screening and a criminal background check. (All applicants must be clear of any prior drugalcoholcriminal offenses on their records)Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.No more than 2 moving violations within the past year.Position-Specific Requirements:Understand drive train, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems to diagnose and repair company vehiclesPerform routine daily repairs and preventative maintenanceinspections on fleet vehiclesConduct safety checks on all fleet vehicles1+ year(s) experience as a mechanicPass all clearances (child abuse, fingerprint, criminal background check) and pre-employmentrandom drug and alcohol screenings)Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with established safety proceduresHave availability for call in while delivery trucks are out and in case of emergency breakdownsFill in as a driver or jumper as necessary (Optional).
