We are committed to cultivating an inclusive organization where all colleagues feel inspired and know their work makes an important contribution.The OpportunityCZ Biohub NY is looking to recruit an outstanding scientist for the position of Group Leader (equivalent to a Principal Investigator title within the CZ Biohub Network) to lead our Immune Cell Tropism Research Group.As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for recruiting and overseeing an outstanding team of scientists dedicated to pioneering novel, influential studies to determine mechanisms that determine tissue specificity in immune cell trafficking and bio-engineering approaches to change immune cell tropism on demand. Your research will align with the Biohub's mission to unravel the complexities of immune cell mechanisms and harness their functionalities to detect anomalies and diseases. Specific research areas of interest include programming immune cells to traffic to specific organstissues, designing synthetic receptors to enhance immune cell recognition of organ-specific physiologic and pathologic signals, creating co-culture organoid models to study cell-cell communication mechanisms in vitro, applying synthetic biology to further our understanding of tissue development principles, and exploring the mechanisms that govern immune cell interaction with other cells. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
