Trading Assistant

A financial institution in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Trading Assistant to their team to support an ETF desk. Responsibilities: The Trading Assistant will: Assist the Traders with executing trades in various financial instruments such as equities, bonds, derivatives, and currencies Monitor and manage trade settlements, ensuring all trades are accurately processed and settled in a timely manner Handle trade confirmations, reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies Conduct research and provide analysis on market trends, economic data, and financial news to support trading decisions Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on market activities and trading performance Monitor and report on trading positions and risks, ensuring compliance with risk management policies Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory reporting and audits Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of experience in Trade Support andor similar role Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field Experience with Domestic ETF block desks Familiarity with Financial Markets & Instruments Proficiency in trading platforms and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, FIX Protocol). Experience in Data Analysis tools (e.g., Excel, VBA, SQL) Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Advanced Degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, Series 7 & 63) Solid understanding of Financial regulations and Compliance requirements affecting Trading activities Knowledge of the Regulatory environment in the U.S. Financial Markets
