Manager, Operations Performance and Development

DescriptionOps Performance and Development Manager The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for process improvements and scheduling in FreshDirect's Operations Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Develop and implement strategies for operations and transport planning to optimize resource utilization and ensure timely delivery of goods. Oversee capacity management efforts to effectively manage resources and meet customer demand while minimizing waste and inefficiencies. Utilize SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to streamline processes and improve operational performance. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within operations and transportation. Define and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and track progress towards goals. Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute strategic development projects aimed at enhancing operational capabilities and driving growth. Develop and deliver training programs to build the capabilities of team members and empower them to contribute to operational excellence. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in operations management and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field 4+ years' experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing 3+ years' experience in data analysis and SQL Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in industrial engineering or related field Experience working in a union environment Experience working with an automated system.
