About the job Research Technician, Cytogenetics Job DetailsExciting Opportunity: Research Technician, CytogeneticsWe are seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist with day-to-day research cytogenetics operations in MCCF. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level researcher to gain hands-on experience in groundbreaking cancer biology research.Role OverviewCell Culture: Perform cell culture of research samples.Sample Preparation: Assist with preparing samples for DNA-FISH and karyotyping.Cytogenetics Assistance: Aid cytogeneticists in scoring FISH and karyotyping samples.Lab Maintenance: Maintain lab space and clean lab equipment.Reagent Management: Help maintain reagent stocks.Key QualificationsA Bachelors degree in Biology or life sciences.Previous experience with cytogenetics assays is advantageous but not required; full training will be provided.Core SkillsOutstanding Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.Critical Thinking: Problem-solving skills to optimize lab efficiency.Adaptability: Resilience and the ability to embrace change and innovation.Collaboration: Skills in building trust and working effectively in a team.
