Role Summary Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team and perform high-quality repairs on damaged vehicles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in auto body repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a Body Shop Technician, you will work with a range of tools and techniques to repair and refinish vehicle exteriors, ensuring that all repairs meet safety standards and customer expectations.More about the roleInspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.Perform repairs on vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and welding.Sand, grind, and prime damaged areas before applying paint or refinishing materials.Apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes to restore vehicles to their original condition, matching paint colors and textures as required.Replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors with new or refurbished components.Use frame straightening equipment to restore the structural integrity of vehicles.Perform repairs following collision damage, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.Occasionally explain repair processes to customers and provide updates on job status if needed.Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job.What we look forProven experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role.Proficiency in using auto body repair tools and equipment such as welders, sanders, paint guns, and frame machines.Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, collision repair techniques, and refinishing processes.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.Physical ability to lift heavy parts, bend, and work in tight spaces.ASE certification in auto body repair or I-CAR certification is a plus.BenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance optionsShort-term and Long-term disability insurance 401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off and holiday leaveOpportunities for professional development and growthOurisman Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
