IT - Packaging Engineer

Job Title: IT Packaging Engineer Location: Schaumburg, IL Duration:6 month Schedule: Hybrid 3 days on site Job Description: The Packaging Engineer role will expand End User Computing capabilities in these areas as well as address Software packaging, testing. The End User Computing (EUC) Software Packaging Engineer will be responsible for: •All aspects of software packaging and distribution •Performing start to finish software packaging services, intake, build, customization, testing, and delivery •Perform software upgrades, new installs, uninstalls, and configuration changes •Ensuring compliance with local and global guidelines •Troubleshoot and remediate packaging and deployment related issues •Working closely with EUC Platform team to support implementing policies, procedures, and systems •Other duties as assigned Other responsibilities will include: •Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints •Work closely with EUC Platform manager to support implementing policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation •Perform software packaging, testing process, ensure compliance at local and global •Provide incident resolution support that ensures end user satisfaction •Built applicationpackages in Intune win format. •Collaborated with App Owners to ensure applications are packaged properly and tested •Document the software distribution steps and communicate with end users on the expected result during the software push Basic Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Systems area •Expert knowledge working with MSI EXE installers •Expert knowledge using PSAppDeploy Toolkit •Expert knowledge of creating and working with MST's •Expert knowledge packaging repackaging •Excellent scripting knowledge PowerShell, Batch, VB •Working experience with Flexera Admin Studio or equivalent •Working experience with Intune Microsoft Endpoint Manager SCCM Preferred Qualifications: •Strong problem-solving analytical skills •Able to develop and drive initiatives with minimal oversight or guidance •Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills •Experience in Software packaging which includes packaging of Software, Testing Incident resolution. •Experience in using Industry standard software packaging software like Flexera Admin Studio. •Experience in tools like Service now, Active Directory •Experience in hardware troubleshooting •Knowledge about Microsoft Config Manager (Previously known as SCCM), Microsoft Intune tools •Experience in management test collection for packages, deployments. •Experience in developing PowerShell scripts to automate any of the repeated processes. •Experience in customizing software package using the wrapper •Knowledge of Windows 10 11 Windows 365 Office 365
