Description Job Summary - 108226 - Sr Process Safety Analyst NiSource is seeking a Process Safety Analyst (level based on experience) to lead the organization in supporting the continued development of the work methods system. The Process Safety Analyst will coordinate and facilitate the development of work methods across the organization. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role may include the administration of the Work Methods application to ensure all work methods are accessible, accurate, and up to date. The Process Safety Analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. These roles will integrate within operations and will add value by taking challenges that front line leaders, and their front-line workers face and build solutions that drive safety, engagement, efficiency and effectiveness to the task level.Essential FunctionsFacilitate with process stakeholders with the development and change effort to establish ongoing work method sustainability within NiSource operations.Observe and coach leadership to identify policy, process, procedural, and work method gaps.Identify processes and training gaps and implement corrective actions through training, system or process improvements.Develop and document existing and new work methods through the collaboration of subject matter experts.Coaches and teaches continuous improvement methodologies and tools including, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, time studies, value stream mapping and other process improvement methods to facilitate continuous improvement projects.Assure compliance to company standards, policies, work methods and processes through support of a internal audit process. Administerfacilitate document management tool to control organizational work teract with the systemapplication support group, management and the training center to ensure system, human and process fixes are carried through to completion.Support the overall vision and direction for the daily operations of the process safety function, including auditing, process development, documentation and improvement.Observe and facilitate cross-functional discussions with key stakeholders and other impacted parties to identify symptoms and root causes.Work to overcome significant organizational challenges through collaboration 25% travel is required within NiSource service territory states to meet with different groups for onsite meetings Required Qualifications For PositionBachelor's Degree in a STEM or business-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.5 - 7 years of professional technical writing or process improvement work experience1 or more years of experience with Accelerator KMS knowledge management tool or equivalentDemonstrated ability to influence management and front-line workersStrong knowledge and experience in technical procedure writing and implementationKnowledge and functional experience in a Safety Management Systems environment.Outstanding PCSystems knowledge and skills.Strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with all levels of employees, customers and outside professionals.Preferred Additional Qualifications for PositionKnowledge of work processeswork management within the utility industry a strong plus.Preference to Industrial Engineering or Quality Management degree holdersLean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification strong plusExperience implementing Lean tools and techniquesCompensation Range: $93,800 - $140,700 Job Summary - 108227 - Lead Process Safety Analyst NiSource is seeking a Process Safety Analyst to lead the organization in supporting the continued development of the work methods system.
