Long Island's largest full service commercial truck leasing company is hiring for Diesel Technicians for their Long Island Locations. ( Holbrook, Farmingdale, Bronx, and Calverton) The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers but are open to entry level candidates and will offer apprenticeship opportunities for candidates looking for jump start their career. Expertise in engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other key components of commercial vehicles is a plus and can garner a higher salary per hour! Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm $25-39 an hour- based on experience and tenure Resume required Permanent Opportunity Benefits Offered If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity please schedule a time via the scheduler or reach out to Chamira via text at 631.339.0281 for more information! salary: $25 - $39 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.Conduct preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.Repair or replace worn-out parts such as belts, hoses, alternators, starters, and batteries.Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and company safety standards.Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.Work with the parts department to order necessary components for repairs.Keep the shop and work area clean and organized.Follow company policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools.Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
