Tarkett has a great opportunity for an Assistant Controller (Chagrin Falls)We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our talented team. This role will be responsible to provide financial and administrative support to Plant Controller - Ohio Campus in the oversight of Tarkett's controlling operations of the Chagrin Falls production facility. The cost accountant reports to this role.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Resolve issues related to financial data and resolve critical issues as they develop, solving routine problems in a timely manner and complex problems with minimal guidance.Identify plant efficiencies and operational variance trends for improving profitability opportunities while working with Plant Leadership team on implementing corrective actions.Conducts analysis, provides data and reports on variances, monthly and semi-annual budgets, forecast, ledgers, and other information and follow up with operational personnel on corrective actions.Prepare detailed analyses on bridging actual financial results to Budget and PY Financial Results.Prepares and performs month end closing procedures for the Company ensuring compliance with Tarkett Group policies and procedures while promoting the adherence of company internal controls and compliance statement requirements.Assist with preparation of annual budget and perform monthly analysis around variances based on comparative budget to actual results.Gain a full understanding of Tarkett's accounting functions which includes but is not limited to: product cost, cost structure pricing, inventory, key cost drivers and competitive advantages.Maintain and analyze standard costs linked to the annual budget as well as support developing new and revised standard product costs by analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, to determine effects on costs.Perform timely and accurate business decision support analyses including but not limited to: Support local performance improvement projects: WCM and other cost saving opportunitiesUnderstand and assist with maintaining the broad and complex WCM cost deployment modelSupport the financial analysis and justifications for capital projectsAssist in preparing and supporting the monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) review process with Plant Leadership and Other Operational staff at Middlefield OperationsProvide ad hoc financial analysis for the Controller - Ohio Campus, Plant Manager, and Operational staffEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with management team.Other duties may be assigned.Basic Qualifications:BSBA in Accounting or Finance5 + years of experience in accounting in manufacturing1+ years of management in accounting or financeOther Requirements:CPA andor MBA or Master's level graduate degree a plusProficient in management accounting, cost and inventory accounting and financial analysisAnalytical and data drivenHas the ability to multi task in a complex, fast paced environmentDemonstrates a high customer service orientationHas effective interpersonal relationship building skills; strong team playerDemonstrates business acumenInnovative problem solverEffective communication skillsAbility to effectively present information to an internal group.Results drivenStrong systems aptitude - SAP experience is preferredLarge ERP System experience such as SAP, JD Edward, Oracle, etcWhat We OfferA commitment that Safety is #1Competitive benefits, pay, and retirement plan options!Career growth, stability, and flexible work arrangements.Responsible Manufacturing - Protecting Our Planet for the FutureWe utilize renewable energy and a closed loop recycled water process.We are committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and water consumption.We are the only flooring company recognized by the Asthma and Allergy foundation.Who we are:With a history of 140 years, Tarkett is a worldwide leader in innovative flooring and sport surface solutions with 12,000 employees and 34 industrial sites.
