With a keen eye for detail, the Banquet Houseperson ensures the room is set perfectly for each function exceeding guest expectations. The candidate is adaptable and assists clients with all last-minute changes. The position requires a service professional with excellent organizational, technical, and communication skills.What you will be doing:Set up tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, linens and assist with tabletop setup as directedEnsure line by line delivery on Banquet Event Order requirementsMaintain organization and cleanliness of banquet spaces and storageSafeguard assets and maintains all banquet equipmentActively furthers relationships with on-site clients and enhances Meeting planner satisfactionPartner with Banquet Team and audiovisual vendors to ensure seamless delivery and set-upHandle all guest inquiriesAware of all business within hotel on a daily basis and able to guide guests accordinglyConsistently offer professional, engaging and friendly serviceFlexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidaysOther duties as assignedQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Previous banquet experience is an assetAbility to take direction and read banquet event ordersExcellent follow-through of tasks and attention to detailStrong writtenverbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest serviceStrong guest service orientationAbility to work with minimal supervisionPhysical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:Endure various physical movements throughout the work areasFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, bendingConstant walking and standing for up to 8 hoursRepetitive Bending, twisting, and kneelingLifting weights in excess of 50 poundsPushingPullingLifting weights in excess of 50 poundsOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
