Details Client NameMount Sinai Morningside Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyCVICU Job ID30849912 Job TitleRN - CSICU - Contract - MSM Weekly Pay$2351.0 Shift Details ShiftDNR - 12X3 - 07,19 Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date03312025 End Date06282025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Clinical Nurse (RN)Job Specialty: Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU)Job Duration: 13 WeeksShift: 7AM-7:30PM, Flexible Scheduling, 3x11.5 HrGuaranteed Hours: 34.50 per weekExperience: Minimum 2 years RN experience, 2 years Post Open Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience preferredLicense: Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Experience with EPIC highly preferredMust-Have: Excellent organizational skills, communication skills in English (Speak, Read, Write)Job Description:- Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care, utilizing the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease, anticipating needs and readiness to learn.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate effective allocation of material resources.- Role model the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care through actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, AMPM Care, Medication Review, and Discharge Wrap Up.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families.- Use evidence-based practices to enhance understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Engage in service recovery for patients and family members who express concerns and escalate as needed.- Demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening through dialogue, body language, and actions.- Conduct Purposeful Hourly Rounding on assigned patients, addressing the 4 Ps (Pain, Potty, Positioning, and Personal needs).- Implement principles of high reliability to identify and avoid high-risk behaviors, ensuring a safe environment for patients.- Facilitate patient throughput on a shift basis and accurately document care in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal standards.- Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, lifelong learning, and innovation for self and others.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives.
