ResponsibilitiesFinancial Engineer (Fixed Income Indices-Rates, FX, Credit) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)Manage the day-to-day activities related to developing and structuring the Bank's Fixed Income Indices market in the United States, with a focus on Pension Funds, Endowments and Asset Managers, Private Banks as well as Corporates. Develop and design quantitative strategies based on fixed income (Rates, FX and Credit) assets, wrapped under indices (SGI) with back testing and brainstorming ideas with engineers, sales, trading, research. Define indices' pricing methodologies with Fixed Income Exotic Traders, the product range, and the most appropriate structures for products to be sold in Americas. Create rules definitions for indices in discussion with the Trading, Marketing and Legal Departments. Write and run all necessary coding scripts to serve development needs and commercial requests. Review various term sheets and quasi-legal documents describing the financial characteristics of the indices created and structures priced. Ensure documentation is accurate and exhaustive (internal documentation, term-sheet, internal tickets, legal documentation, set-up of booking and alerts, set-up of provisioning scheme, margin allocation method and enforcement). Ensure collaboration and smooth execution between involved teams. Promote and execute the Bank's Indices offerings by overseeing the preparation of studies for clients, commercial propositions, and marketing presentations. Execute relevant product transaction on behalf of Clients and price in line with policies and guidelines applicable. Make sure that all the procedural guidelines e.g. KYC, Mifid, risk controls, product governance are observed. Provide marketing support for existing products, newly developed products, and complex bespoke transactions. Increase Automation capacities, reporting capacities and increasing efficiency in answering clients and sales requests. Bring tools to sales to help the clients service (automation). Organize and circulate deal information among sales, to foster pooling of interest, achieve greater notional for issues, extract more P&L from the same structure sold to one client. Oversee QIS Fixed Income market watch and reverse engineering through client visits. Be in front of clients as often as possible to gather clients' feedbacks and to collect client's needs. Assist in carrying out research on the market and clients & identify opportunities to develop new Indices. Communicate market knowledge to sales & internally diffuse relevant and timely solutions. Support and contribute to overall strategy to further improve market share and reputation through professionalism, discipline and attention to risks e.g. regulatory, compliance, market, credit, legal, reputation. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work directly with headquarters in Paris to ensure that U.S. legal requirements are timely addressed and followed. Requires up to 10% domestic travel for conferences and in person client visits. Telecommuting may be permitted 1 day per week. When not telecommuting, must report to SG Americas Securities LLC, 245 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10167. Salary: $100,547 - $275,000 per year.Profile requiredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field plus 3 years of professional experience as a Quantitative Analyst, Financial Engineer, or other occupationpositionjob title involving pricing and modelling of financial products at a global financial institution. Must also have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience analyzing and producing financial models used to price Interest Rates, FX and Credit pricing models; 3 years of professional experience analyzing ongoing financial and economic conditions to determine its impact on trading, portfolio performance and portfolio risk management; and 3 years of professional experience using Python, Excel, and VBA to develop quantitative tools for back testing of systematic trading strategies through various asset classes (including Fixed Income, FX and Multi-Asset).
