The Server Assistant maintains all dining room environment and equipment, assists servers, anticipates guests' needs and addresses them accordingly.This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 + Tips.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCheck assigned station before, during and after shift for proper set up and cleanlinessResponsible for the completion of designated side work checklists (both opening and closing)Responsible for keeping the dining room floors free of debris and spilled liquidsBus tables and re-set tables for the next guest. Pick-up clean linen for service and drop off soiled linen for washing to determined areaAlways provide excellent service to all our guestsAssist guests courteously and efficientlyMaintain the cleanliness of the dining room and station at all timesKeep chairs and banquettes clean and clear of debrisHandle customer requests in a timely mannerSet up side station with sugar bowls, water pitchers, bread, and butter etc. as established in the side work sheetEnsure all silverware is polished and spotlessFollow the cleaning program for the restaurant established in the side work sheetUpkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the mealDelivery of food from kitchen to guest's tables, including tray serviceAssist in setting up tables according to floor planAnticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anythingAttend all food and beverage training classes when requestedWish every guest a warm farewell and thank them for comingMust be aware at all times what type of water each guest in their station is drinkingMake coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guestsPlace all to go food in appropriate containersAttend daily pre mealcommunication meetingAttend monthly department meetingCommunicate with all servers and server assistants in a professional mannerAll other responsibilities assigned by ManagementREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English languageWilling to work a flexible schedule, holidays & WeekendsThis position has a 6:30am start timeBe a self-motivator and motivator of othersWork in a safe, prudent, and organized mannerHave good knowledge of food and beverage preparationsBe able to relate to all levels of guests and managementHave the ability to handle multiple tasks at one timeHave excellent communication and organization skillsMaintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and groomingBe able to consistently delight and satisfy our guestHave the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed mannerTIPS and ServSafe Certified
