Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team at a residential gatehouse in Tamarac, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the residential community, ensuring the safety and security of residents, guests, and property.Key Responsibilities:Access Control: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and delivery personnel.Surveillance: Maintain vigilant oversight of the gatehouse and entrance, ensuring that all activities and visitors are monitored for safety and security cident Reporting: Document and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all activities, including visitor logs, incident reports, and shift reports.Policy Enforcement: Enforce community rules and regulations consistently and fairly.Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, such as fire alarms or medical incidents, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.Licenses: Must obtain and maintain a Florida Security Guard Class D License.Skills:Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English).Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.Proficiency in using security equipment and software.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Other Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.Must pass a background check and drug screening.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
