Responsibilities:Evaluates behavioral data for target maladaptive behavior for the purpose of development and implementation of a formal Behavioral Support Plan for assigned caseload in Residential and Day HabilitationAnalyzes potential existing functions of maladaptive behavior utilizing baseline proceduresConducts direct observations of behaviors, interacts with team members, outside service provides and parentsadvocate of the person supportedImplements behavioral planning by providing training of employees, on all formal Behavior Support Plans, Monitoring plan and Data collectionSupervises BIS consultantsParticipates in staff meetings, HRCIRC, and Life plan meetingsConducts clinical internal audits and submit findings to the Director of PsychologyFacilitates Clinical and IDT meetingsAdvocates and interacts with psychiatric, psychotherapy and psycho-sexual services when necessaryParticipates in agency's development as assigned by Director of Psychology(e.g. screening, develop preliminary plan)Travel to various locations between Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk is requiredThe position requires answering calls after hours.Qualifications & Work ExperienceMaster's degree in Psychology (BCBA preferred) or related field of study required.Valid NYS or out of state driver's license is required to conduct site visits to multiple sitesResidences1-3 years of OPWDD clinical experience preferredAttains and maintains SCIP-R CertificationMaintains a cooperative relationship among teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport & participating in team problem-solving methodsIn-depth knowledge of OPWDD services, regulations and best practices requiredExcellent communication, verbal, written and people skills are requiredAbout Life's WORC: For over 50 years, Life's WORC has provided high quality services and support to people with intellectual disabilities and autism in Queens, Manhattan, Nassau and Suffolk counties.
