In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the FrankCrum business everyday by providing management and employee development to the claims support staff as well as ensuring workflow efficiency.Supervises and coordinates Claims Assistant staff activities to include, but not limited to, handling incomingoutgoing mail, setting up claims, liaison support between coverage and claims handling, developing physician panels, etc. Plans and assigns work to ensure proper scheduling and management, contributes to employee development and completes performance reviews. Communicates with the team through regular meetings and actively seeking feedback from internal customers to ensure processes and procedures meet Examiner needs. Maintains improves Claims Support Unit efficiency, effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and department support. Analyzes operating procedures; recommends forward thinking solutions, generates ideas for continuous improvement and implements the approved changes. Confirms active coverage for General Liability (GL) and Workers' Compensation (WC) policies for reported claims on Open Market Plan (OMP).Recognizes problems early and implements efficient solutions, quickly. Escalates issues to upper claims management where appropriate.Responds to and addresses complaint calls and emails received from claimant, agent, andor insured. Escalates to upper management when necessary.Monitors legal bill review system. Confirms legal matters are entered into timely and correctly, confirms matter statuses are updated timely, adds new users, verifies new firms have been added and verifies firm rates are correct.Manages and reviews for accuracy and clarity of all documents. Demonstrates being thorough and complete when working, processing, or providing information and documenting. Tracks details and creates accurate documentation even under pressure. Responds to management requests for information and recommendations in an appropriate and timely manner.Demonstrates working in a positive and collaborative manner with fellow team members. Demonstrates leadership ability. Sets a positive example for the team by modeling all core company values, policies, and guidelines.The Attributes We Seek Keys to success in this position include a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of working knowledge of commercial liability claims, as well as two (2) to three (3) years working as a supervisor or manager.
