Financial Restructuring Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance Associate with at least four to six years of experience to join the finance practice of a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in New York. This position offers a unique blend of complex finance transactions and exposure to special situations and restructuring matters.Key Responsibilities:Work on a broad array of complex debt financing transactions, including:Acquisition financing, particularly for sponsor-backed companies in the middle marketTerm loan facilities and working capital facilitiesCommitment letters, sponsor grids, unitranche facilities, and intercreditor arrangementsRepresent private credit and opportunistic debt funds, ad hoc lender groups, investment and commercial banks, corporate borrowers, and private equity sponsorsCollaborate within the financial restructuring practice to manage existing capital structures, new loan originations, and special situations, workout, and inout-of-court restructuring transactionsKey Qualifications:Solid base of experience in leveraged finance, with exposure to a variety of debt financing transactionsIntellectual curiosity and an interest in expanding expertise to include distressed credit and restructuring mattersLaw firm experience is required, with outstanding academic credentialsAdmission to the New York State BarCompensation:The salary range for this position is $310,000 to $435,000 annually, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other relevant factors.Why Join?This role offers the opportunity to build a diverse skill set, combining high-level finance transactions with challenging restructuring matters in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Submit your cover letter, resume, and law school transcript to explore this exciting opportunity!
