Job SummaryPostingStaff AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team at a growing orthopedic practice with annual revenue of $320 million and a workforce of 2,000+ employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a dynamic organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a large-scale healthcare environment and contribute to the ongoing success of the company.Key Responsibilities:General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. Provide accurate data to assist management in decision-making.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Account Reconciliations: Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits. Collaborate with auditors to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the audit process.Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and preparing variance analysis reports to support budgeting and forecasting pliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations, maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and participate in initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a healthcare or large-scale organization.Skills & Competencies:Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
