A Waukesha Pearce Industries (WPI) Generator Tech Class B is expected to execute their knowledge of generators and engines to complete PM maintenance and minor repairs on standby generators. Be able to read wiring schematics and learn how to perform load bank testing.Primary Job Responsibilities:Performs maintenance and repairs on generators and associated controlsCompletes service reports dailyContinue to expand knowledge of the generators and controls sold and serviced by WPIAttends service schools and training programs offered by WPIPerform weekly truck inspections as requiredFill out required JSA form on every jobPerform other duties as assigned by managerMinimum Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 1 year's previous experienceE.D. or High School DiplomaMust be able to work and learn from othersMust have a mechanical andor electrical aptitudeMust have an aptitude to learn to read simple wiring schematics and perform basic troubleshooting and repairsMust be able to supply your own toolsTrade school or prior generator background preferredRequirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI requirementsMust be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by WPIMust be able to complete PM maintenance on standby generatorsMust be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred.
