Weekday and weekend availability is required.ABOUT COURTYARD BISTRO: The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee.PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Bistro Attendant is responsible for assisting guests in the Courtyard Bistro and all catering outlets in an efficient and courteous manner. Effectively promotes the Bistro, takes orders, and preparesdelivers food and beverage orders.RESPONSIBILITIESOur Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, from serving coffee and other beverages (including alcohol), to preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. This position processes all orders and collects payment from customers, and provides assistance in food & beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests. This position also performs general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas, counts the bank at end of shifts, and follows property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.Cleans, sets up, stocks, and maintains work areasTakes customer orders, inputs orders into order system, obtains payment and provides changePrepares coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, including alcohol (during PM Shifts)Prepares food in a timely manner, according to brand standards, using a rapid cookhybrid ovenProvides assistance in Food & Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tablesPerforms general cleaning of food & beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby areaCounts bank at end of shift, completes designated cashier reports, resolves any discrepancies, drops off receipts, and secures bankOther duties as assigned by ManagementREQUIREMENTSPrevious Courtyard Bistro experience or similar food outlet experience (e.g. Panera, Starbucks) preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requireFriendly, outgoing, customer service - oriented personalityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailProblem solving and decision making skillsHands-on experience with cash register and POS systemsAble to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to read and process orders as they appear on the screenFood Safety Certification or ability to obtain certificationMust be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when neededJOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployees in this position work primarily indoors. Employees work in a customer-facing environment, and must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hoursdays of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
