Interconnection Engineer Associate

Ampliform originates, develops, builds, operates, and optimizes utility-scale solar and solar + storage projects in the United States. Ampliform is led by a team of veteran developers, investors and operators in the energy sector with collectively over 100 years of management experience. Ampliform's team has originated and developed multiple gigawatts of solar energy projects and overseen several gigawatts of power generation investments.Ampliform is a joint venture between Prospect14-a solar development platform with a data-driven approach to scaled project origination and development-and a seasoned team of infrastructure investors and operators with a track record of optimizing merchant coal, gas, and renewable power generation facilities.Position OverviewThe position will be responsible for supporting solar, storage, and hybrid projects from market review and greenfield origination through interconnection agreement at multiple ISOs including PJM, MISO, SPP, and NYISO. Role will support interconnection process tracking, ISO report evaluation and coordination with utilities and Ampliforms EPC team during project construction.Other responsibilities include grid research and utility rulestariffs analysis, creation of project single line diagrams or other documents required for interconnection application submissions, assisting to manage and track interconnection process - from filing through GIA; managing interconnection studies, deposits and data requirements; assisting in managing external consultant work products and maintaining internal data and reporting on interconnection statuses.The Interconnection Associate should have a general knowledge of the electrical grid's generation, transmission, and protection systems from an engineering perspective.The Interconnection Associate will report to the Interconnection Vice President and will also work closely with the Ampliform Origination, Development and Management teams.
