The SAE will be tasked with identifying timely story hooks, developing strategic pitches, cultivating relationships with influential media contacts, delegating assignments, providing PR counsel to clients and working closely with the PR Director to develop and execute strategic PR plans. We are looking for a creative, high-achieving public relations professional who is a strong writer, has a track record of working with the media, thrives in a fast-paced work environment and can build client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze daily news (local and national) for 4-5 clients, identifying media opportunities.Identifying timely story hooks and developing strategic pitchesCultivating relationships with influential media contactsProviding PR counsel to clients and working closely with the PR Director to develop and execute strategic PR plansQualifications: Minimum 3 years of PR and media relations experience requiredPassion for reading, watching, andor listening to the news dailyExperience working with reporters and building meaningful relationshipsStrong, creative, AP-style writing skills with the ability to identify a story angleProven project management skills including organization, initiative, multitasking, and delegation under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with teammates, clients, and reportersBA or BS (in Public Relations, Communications, Economics, Business preferredApplicants must be U.S. citizens or have all necessary approvals to livework in the U.S. as we do not sponsor candidates.Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of agency experienceExperience with Microsoft 365, Muck Rack, Wrike, or similar platforms; or takes initiative to learn a new program quicklyFamiliarity with Wrike or a similar project management systemWork Environment: This is a hybrid role that requires you to work in our NYC office 2 days a week.
