This role will act as the internal expert on OpenX's self service curation platform for agencies, leading pitches, developing and executing demos, establishing relationships with key decision makers, closing partnerships and driving platform related revenue. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, agency planning and trading. The role requires strong consultative sales and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment delivering against tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities and DutiesCommand expert-level understanding of OpenX's products and how they solve problems for programmatic buyers Further entrench OpenX as a trusted partner and advisor in the programmatic space, with an eye toward building long-term relationships with buyers, key decision-makers and centers of excellence at Agency Holding Companies, Indies and Brand Direct.Monitor platform usage and gather insights to improve user experience and client satisfaction.Collect client feedback and work with product and development teams to refine the platform's features and functionality.Conduct engaging and informative demos of the platform's user interface, showcasing its features and benefits to potential and existing clients.Act as the primary point of contact for client accounts, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong, long-term relationships.Guide new clients through the onboarding process, offering training sessions to ensure they maximize the platform's utility.Stay informed about industry trends and competitor platforms to position the product effectively in the market.Requirements7+ years working in online advertising sales or business development for a major SSP, DSP, Data Platform, or Agency3+ years of experience selling SAAS or platform based solutions Strong relationships with Agency trading groups, centers of excellence, and investment leads. Extensive knowledge of the advertising technology landscape and ecosystem including digital marketing ad formats, targeting strategies, and measurement systems across the digital ecosystem Excellent teamwork and communication skillsExpansive network of strategic and transactional decision-makers on the buy-side, including brand-direct relationshipsStrong executive presence and comfortable presenting to clients of all levelsA consultative, partnership-minded sales approachAbility to lead all aspects of top-tier buyer relationships and truly 'own' a book of businessExcellent problem-solving skills and strong business judgmentHighly organized, with experience successfully managing multiple projects to tight deadlinesA clear understanding of SSPsexchanges and programmatic buying fundamentalsAbility to travel up to 30%BSBA degree required, MBA a plusDesired Qualifications and SkillsDeep familiarity with ad tech, SSPs, DSPs, and the programmatic landscape, as well as with internal org structure at brands, agencies, ATDs, and consultanciesWell-versed in programmatic audience strategy: CRM, CDP, DMP, 1P+2P+3P data, the future-focused people-based marketing landscape, etcProgrammatic buying experience at an agency, ATD or brand$136,000 - $160,000 a yearPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, New York Fair Chance Act, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation. OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the base salary range is $136,000-160,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
