3 - 5 Residence Managers Needed in BrooklynYou will be working with a Large Health and Human services who service varying individuals, including those with physical and intellectual abilities.Pay Rate: $26-$28hrAnnual Salary: $58,500POSITION OVERVIEW:The Residence Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) or Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) serving adults with developmental disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Residential Services, the Residence Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the program in line with the OPWDD regulations and Director's instructions and ensures consistent and appropriate program coverage.EDUCATIONALTRAINING REQUIRED:Minimum education level of an Associate's Degree in Human Services Required. Minimum of three (3) years working with the IDD Population as well as one (1) year of supervisory experience. Familiarity with Orthodox Jewish Practices preferred.KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:•Provides on-going training, supervision, and direction to the direct support, clerical, support and maintenance staff. Responsible for ensuring appropriate supervisory feedback to staff including regular performance evaluations.•Ensures appropriate program coverage by staff, including the scheduling of necessary overtime and utilization of per-diem staff. Key player in the recruitment process for new staff (direct support, clerical, support and maintenance), participates in interviews and provides feedback to all necessary parties regarding candidate selection.•Provides on-site supervision and oversight of staff, including a minimum of one early morning and one late evening site observation per week.•Responsible for the programming and scheduling of daily activities, excursions and trips for individuals as well as ensuring that Sabbath programing and religious practices and customs are observed.•Responsible for the coordination and observation of monthly fire drills.•Maintains regular communication with parents, families or guardians of the individuals.•Responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federally mandated requirements pertaining to the program (OPWDD, OSHA, COA, Medicaid, etc.).•Oversees the program's day-to-day work flow procedures, including tasks such as billing, recruitment, e-PAF processing, Requests to Hire (RTHs), petty cash, personal allowance, etc.•Committed to be on-call to ensure appropriate coverage in the facility and to provide guidance in emergency. May be required to be on-call in order to provide emergency coverage in the event of a serious staff shortage. The on-call responsibility requires to return phone calls within 20 minutes, from the time they were received. This responsibility takes place on weekends and holidays, unless proper, approved accommodations were granted, or ongoing religious exemptions were granted in writing.•Responsible for overseeing all physical plant issues.•Collaborates with the internal quality assurance team to implement recommendations.•Participates in unannounced and announced state audits.•Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team e.g., behavior interventions specialistqualified behavior specialist, nurse, day programs' administrators and additional medical and clinical providers to monitor the wellbeing of residents and enhance their lives.•Promotes the individual's choice and preferences in accordance to the agency and state's regulations and within the individuals' constituencies and abilities.•Knowledge in Jewish culture and customs.•Reviewing monthly valued outcome goals.•Submitting monthly valued outcome goals.•Providing assistance in managing the individual's behaviors, facilitating a positive, respectful work environment.•Responsible for following compliance guidelines and participating in the investigation process.•Responsible for all work surrounding investigationsincidents and incident management including collecting and uploading data in the Alltrac system.•Responsible for entering notes and reviewing individual's information on the HER.•Attend monthly managerial meetings, participating in monthly IDT meetings, covering for other managersresidencies as needed, conducting monthly staff meeting.•Works in tandem with HR department and Director of Residential regarding all disciplinary actions involving staff.•Other duties PUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:•Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.e., Zoom)VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:Must be able to review treatment plans and document manually or via computer daily logs.WORK ENVIRONMENTPHYSICAL EFFORT:The position entails lifting clients using a mechanical device, positioning of clients, pushing clients in wheelchairs, and transferring clients physically where prescribed.
