Selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment for multiple projects at BWI and MTN Airports as well as other MES operated facilities located throughout the state. This position requires the ability to perform confined space entry, use of a respirator, ability to work outside, and the ability to work a flexible schedule when assigned. This is a designated emergency essential facility, and therefore the ability to work nights, weekends, and during adverse weather conditions will be required. This position requires the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance.Estimated Pay Range:Senior Electrician: $53,131.16 - $73,055.88Lead Electrician: $58,444.70 - $80,361.47Benefits:Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts401K retirement savings program with generous agency matchPaid vacation, personal and sick leaveTen paid holidays per yearTuition assistanceMinimum Requirements:Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalency certificate. The Senior Electrician position requires five (5) years of experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment. The Lead Electrician position requires seven (7) years of applicable work experience, plus two (2) years of supervisory experience, and possession of a journeyperson electrician's license valid in the State of Maryland. Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience.Applicants must be able to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. Must possess a valid driver's license meeting the requirements of Maryland law, with less than 5 points. Applicants must be able to perform confined space entry, including the use of a respirator, and be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.This position will be open until filled.Maryland Environmental Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
