With new equipment and technology being implemented, they are prepared to ramp up their operation even further, and seek an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the team!Job DescriptionKey duties and responsibilities will include:Collaborate with shop floor personnel to understand current manufacturing processes and develop value stream maps to identify bottleneck operations.Develop standard work, visual work instructions, and creative solutions to assist operators in mixed model production assembly lines.Conduct time studies to balance production lines and develop methods for measuring labor efficiency.Identify, assess, and recommend new capital equipment to increase throughput; manage project life-cycle from concept to implementation.Design and implement inventory replenishment systems to support assembly lines, reduce stock-outs, and optimize labor for bin replenishment.Propose and manage facility layout improvements to enhance workflow; manage project implementation once approved.Train employees on new processes, work methods, and equipment to improve overall manufacturing efficiency.Collaborate with suppliers to explore new technologies that can enhance manufacturing processes.Work alongside Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.Lead the setup of new manufacturing lines, including inventory replenishment, material handling, packaging, and establishing work methods and standards.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
