If you're passionate about finance, love streamlining processes, and want to be part of a dynamic, beauty-forward brand, we'd love to meet you!Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will oversee key accounting functions, including managing payroll and benefits administration, performing month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and payroll and will play a central role in ensuring compliance across both accounting and payroll functions.Key Responsibilities:Payroll & Benefits Administration:Process bi-weekly payroll through Rippling, ensuring accuracy in pay, deductions, and benefits.Manage payroll tax compliance, working with Rippling ASO for reporting and filing.Oversee benefits administration, including employee enrollments, terminations, and inquiries.Reconcile payroll entries to the general ledger and record proper payroll cost allocation.Maintain Rippling administration and integrations.Accounting & Month-End Close:Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports for corporate and franchise operations.Work closely with the finance team to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.General Ledger & Financial Reporting:Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide variance analysis.Support financial audits, working with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and corporate tax filings.Process Improvement & Systems Integration:Assist in the ongoing integration and optimization of financial systems.Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting and payroll processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.Franchisee Financial Support:Review monthly financial performance of franchisees.Support franchisees with P&L reviews and cost-control recommendations.Strategic Support:Assist in implementing finance strategies, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Mentor junior staff and provide guidance in accounting processes as the team expands.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on payroll, benefits administration, and general ledger.Experience with financial systems and software (QuickBooks Online, Cube, Rippling, or similar tools).Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Rippling experience a plus).Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members and leadership.Desired Skills & Experience:CPA or CPA track preferred but not required.Experience with multi-location or franchise operations accounting is a plus.Proven ability to leverage automation to improve workflows and reporting.
