Your responsibilities include ensuring student safety through daily engagement and organizing events and activities under the guidance of Junior Deans and programme leadership.This role suits confident, responsive individuals who excel at communicating with young people and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Safety: Prioritise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during daily activities and events.Be proactive and diligent in student supervision, responding promptly to any safety concerns.Be the main point of contact for student inquiries.Supervise the students throughout their stay both on and off campus (including excursions and airport transfers).Representing Oxford Royale:Uphold Oxford Royale's reputation by embodying the company's values and fostering positive relationships with students and staff.Tackle all duties with the highest degree of professionalism. Student Experience:Actively engage with students daily, creating a supportive and open environment.Lead or support the planning and execution of the activities, events, and excursions considering the student safety and enjoyment at all times.Support the academic programme lessons, workshops and seminars. Collaboration and Leadership:Work collaboratively with other Program Facilitators , Junior Deans, and the Programme Leadership to create a positive team environment.Be flexible and adaptable in handling various responsibilities related to student engagement and safety.Set a high standard of behaviour, safety and responsiveness. Administration and Compliance: Understand and execute daily health and safety responsibilities.Help with the keeping of daily attendance and activity registers.Follow all training and guidance provided.Write reports on all programme incidents.Person SpecificationTeam player, fully engaged in Oxford Royale's activities.Fluent in English, with strong initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals.Position Details:Based at summer site at Barnard College, Columbia University.Approximately 40 hours per week across 6 days, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.Contracts available for 2 or 4 weeks.Mandatory training and campus setup before student arrivals (2-3 days during the week of June 23rd-29th)Salary: $16.5 hourly rateSession Dates:Session 1: June 29th - July 12thSession 2: July 13th - July 26thEssential Qualifications ExperienceSome experience working with the age group hosted at the chosen campus (16-18).A university degree or working towards one.Desirable ExperienceFamiliarity with the host university.Knowledge of the international education industry and how residential courses operate.Experience supporting young people in an academic environment.Academic or work experience in one or more of the course subjects offered at the chosen campus.We incorporate equality into all we do, making every effort to eliminate discrimination, create equal opportunities and develop good working relationships.
