Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.Job Responsibilities:Mission of the Position:Responsible for the payment of all vendors to the Troy facility including the related accounting and financial analysis. Accounting Analyst is responsible for preparing all accounting functions for a program. Prepares reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, results, business plan, billings, and other assigned duties in line with the program.Key Responsibilities:Prepare account reconciliations for the balance sheet items.Update the professionalpurchased services by department (which is included in the departmental reviews).Responsible for the completion of the SAP Accounts Payable processing including the three-way match (invoice, receipt, and PO), answering vendor calls and using SAP Open TextMaintain vendors for ACH, Check or Wire PaymentsReconcile supplier statements and the Accounts Payable subledger to the General Ledger.Prepare journal entries to be posted in SAP.Be back-up for the audit of Troy's automated expense reports (Concur) for Troy.Assist with the review and recording of the Group Office monthly billings.Assist with the completion of other monthly closing activities as required.Assist with the monthly departmental reporting of discretionary costs (cell phone, travel, meals) that is sent to each department.Assist with the completion of the various quarterly and business plan reporting schedules for the Troy location.Prepare the audit support schedules and complete the Controllers Audit file as required.Assist with the completion of the government surveys.Preparation and issuance of the vendor 1099 reports.Customers and Business Interfaces:Product EngineeringProgram ManagementPurchasingElectrificationHuman ResourcesWarranty GroupAdvanced QualityInnovation GroupAdvanced ManufacturingBusiness SystemsRequirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required.0 - 3 years in an accounting finance role a plus; Experience with manufacturing a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office and an aptitude to quickly learn other software and applications; experience in SAP preferred.Magna Standards:Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna's Charter and Constitution.Follow Magna's Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF 16949).Drive the development of new technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce ply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.Health & Safety responsibilities: Understand applicable Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
