You will spearhead success through managing student safety and welfare, protecting and enhancing relationships and company reputation with key stakeholders, and being responsible for the overall student experience. The leadership of the Programme Director is instrumental in creating a transformative and enriching experience for all students. The role would suit a highly experienced and capable leader in education who is excited by the opportunity to work with international students and a team of passionate staff, and to tackle the challenges that come hand in hand with running short programmes. Key Responsibilities:Student Safety:Oversee the implementation of safety measures and adherence to safeguarding policies across the whole programme. Oversee the prompt completion of risk assessments for venues and activities.Respond effectively to any safety concerns, ensuring the well-being of all participants.Implement a safe environment for all students and staff members. Manage the programme welfare officer, their surgery hours and actions. Ensure all National, State and Company compliance needs are met throughout the programme run. Representing Oxford Royale:Uphold the company's reputation by embodying the company's values when working with all students and staff members as well as all third parties, for example guest speakers, external facilities and members of the public.Work in close collaboration with the host venue conference team on a daily basis responding to their requests and concerns and supporting them when working through problems. Ensure professionalism and the company's standards are upheld at all times by staff and students in interactions with internal and external partners.Student Experience:Have complete familiarity with the weekly timetable and the marketing messaging at all times to ensure the client expectations are met.Lead and mentor a team of teachers to implement the academic curriculum providing support in day to day teaching skills as well as planning requirements for lectures, practicals and trips.Oversee the execution of activities, events, and excursions in the campus programme to ensure that the students enjoy an enriching experience outside of the classroom. Ensure the highest quality of service and academic delivery to meet the expectations of the clients and partners.Collaboration and Leadership:Collaborate with the Oxford Royale Head Office on a daily basis providing regular updates and managing the here and now but also looking ahead. Manage all on-campus staff members, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Ensure all members of the campus and academic team are performing according to their job descriptions and to the required standards.Provide leadership in resolving internal staff challenges professionally and efficiently with minimal interruptions to client experience or partner relationships. Maintain a professional working environment amongst staff while delivering at the highest standards of academic excellence.Administration, Systems and Compliance: Own and manage a programme budget.Conduct Appraisals of direct managees.Liaise with the Head Office on any staffing matters.Ensure all members of the team use operational and student management systems effectively and update records as required.Help maximise response rates for student end of course feedback.Ensure that student reports, awards and certificates are completed to a high standard.Position Details:Based at summer site at Barnard College, Columbia University.Exempt role for the duration of the programme, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.Mandatory training and campus setup before student arrivals (Week of June 23rd - 29th)Salary: $2500week, exempt role.Session Dates:Session 1: June 29th - July 12thSession 2: July 13th - July 26thEssential Qualifications ExperienceExtensive senior educational programme management experience working with the age group hosted at the chosen campus (13-18).Extensive education administration experience as an Academic Dean or in a comparable academic setting.A completed teacher training course or suitable equivalent.A university degree.Desirable ExperienceA graduate degree, preferably in education.Familiarity with the host university.Knowledge of the international education industry and how residential courses operate.Experience supporting teacher development.Understanding of the compliance needs and requirements in the State of the host University.We incorporate equality into all we do, making every effort to eliminate discrimination, create equal opportunities and develop good working relationships.
