We are driven to innovate with a clear purpose in mind: revolutionizing the future of foodservice, nourishing the people and communities we serve.As Systems Leader- Refrigeration and Ice, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams developing systems level architecture, integration and execution related to multiple foodservice product lines. Working closely with Technical Product Managers, you will decompose high level requirements into systems level requirements and specifications, define and govern the key technical interfaces between systems and subsystems that enable a modular approach to product development and lead the engineering teams in the integration, verification, and validation of these systems. In this individual contributor role, you will ensure that products meet customer needs, comply with regulatory standards and Marmon internal standards, fulfill the needs of internal stakeholders and adhere to quality standards.What You'll DoServe as the technical lead for a single large engineering project with multiple variants.Drive collaboration cross-functionally to conceptualize and develop new products or enhance existing ones, defining and managing systems level requirements, and defininggoverning systems level interfaces in the areas of mechanical, electrical, functionalperformance, and communicationsdata.Partner with Refrigeration Principal Engineer to define and govern the refrigeration systems architecture and technology roadmap while driving its implementation in product development.Manage requirements through the V-model approach from elicitation, through decomposition, to integration and ensuring the solutions provided by the engineering team fulfill all requirements at all levels in the verification and validation process with traceability.Mentor more junior engineers to drive best practices, ensure consistent processes, and help grow the function within the businessLead project teams to scope, develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, and set project priorities to ensure that projects are delivered on time while meeting customer and quality requirementsLead engineering teams to provide technical guidance, resolve technical challenges, and ensure product designs align with industry standards and regulationsInterface with reliability teams to ensure designs achieve reliability requirements in addition to customer or market requirementsDrive design process, testing, reviews, and regulatory changes for refrigeration sealed systems with a focus on flammable, low GWP refrigerants across all product lines as a functional leadDevelop detailed specifications for suppliers, drive Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly activities. and partner with supply chain on supplier selection, supplier qualifications, and supplier management.Manage Impact of Change process in collaboration with Program and Product leadership to team members outside of a direct reporting relationshipStrong sense of ownership and ability to hold team members accountable to deliverFamiliarity with agency requirements and regulating bodies, such as UL, NSF, DOE, IEC, ETL, ISO, EN, etc.Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical challenges, make sound decisions, and propose innovative solutionsExperience leading engineering teams successfully through all levels of the V-modelDriving engineering teams utilizing standard methodologies such as Concept Selection Matrices, Design Failure Mode and Design Validation Plans.Experience utilizing Six Sigma tools such as DOE, ANOVA, 8D, 5 Whys, A3s, and DMAIC to lead problem analysis and providing solutions.Experience utilizing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) approach to product and process design.Experience utilizing industry standard CAD and PLM systems.Understanding of simulation typescapabilities and their appropriate applications.Model Based Design Model Based Systems Engineering utilizing UMLSysML or similar a distinct plusRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's in Engineering9+ years of experience architecting, designing,
