Details Client NameMount Sinai Brooklyn Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyOR Job ID30829030 Job TitleRN - OR - Contract - MSB Weekly Pay$3173.75 Shift Details ShiftDay - 7.5x5 - 07AM Scheduled Hours37 Job Order Details Start Date03312025 End Date06282025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Clinical Nurse, Operating Room Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR experience, including circulating for orthopedics, vascular, robotics, and urology cases License: Registered Nurse (RN) License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred, minimum 2 years ortho, GYN, robotic, or colorectal experience Job Description: - Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care using the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management. - Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. - Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate. - Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease. - Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team. - Role model Relationship Centered Care through facilitation of actions, including Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding. - Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family. - Use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care. - Initiate service recovery for patients and family members who have concerns, escalating issues as needed. - Demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening through dialogue, body language, and actions. - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement. - Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional and evidence-based practices. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects and nursing research studies. - Implement principles of high reliability to provide a safe environment for patients. - Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to patient care regarding equipment, staff, supplies, and resources. - Document accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements. - Facilitate patient throughput on a shift basis. - Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, their families, and healthcare team members. - Encourage and demonstrate life-long learning and innovation for self and others. - Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives.
