The CAS Accountant role is for you!! Your Role as a vital member of our CAS team, you will:Independently manage month-end financial statements, reconciliations, forecastsbudgets, and client consulting needs for diverse industries.Report directly to the Principal overseeing client relationships, ensuring personalized and effective service.Enjoy a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to work remotely, visit client sites within the twin cities metro area as needed, and engage in in-office meetings and training to foster team collaboration and personal growth.Key Responsibilities:Financial statement preparation and maintenance, including journal entries, asset listings, and reconciliations.Direct client interaction for bookkeeping support, training, and problem-solving.Preparation and review of payroll including making EFTPS tax payments, accounts payable, and basic tax forms.Participation in internal process documentation and training initiatives.Prepare quarterly payroll forms 940, 941, 944Prepare annual payroll forms W2, W3, 1099, 1096Assist with payroll auditsPrepare basic forms 1040 and contact clients to gather informationAssist with training and documentation of internal processesWho We're Looking For:An Associate or BABS Degree holder in Accounting with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Public accounting experience is a plus!Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Office Suite.A solid understanding of GAAP.An organized, self-motivated individual with excellent multitasking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships positively.Olsen Thielen is proud to be an EOE. The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. This range is an estimate, and salary range may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including department, location, work experience and training, qualifications, skill sets, licenses, certifications, education and other business and organizational needs. At Olsen Thielen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to base pay, Olsen Thielen's compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time, exempt employees of all levels. This role also may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
