Boston Partners is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX Corporation of Japan.Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant participates in month end close processing and performs various ad hoc tasks. The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Assistant Controller to tackle the growing complexities of Boston Partners' growing business. This role has a path to a management role within the Finance department and direct contact with Senior Management.Major ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the month end close process including forecasting, actual vs. budget, expense entriesSupport the preparation of the management reporting package and other ad hoc financial reportingReview and monitor inter-company transactions, liaise with counterparties and resolve all differencesAssist in construction of financial statements for subsidiariesAssist with interim and year-end audit with external auditorsAssist in tax provision requestsAssist in booking complex accounting transactions monthlyAssist with research activities regarding technical accounting mattersRequirementsBachelor's degree in finance or accountingProven experience as a Senior Accountant or relevant similar roleAbility to communicate effectively with staff and senior managementSelf-motivated; ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlinesAdvanced skills in Excel and strong knowledge of pivot tablesQualificationsKnowledge of financial statement construction and flow6 plus years' experience in financial services accountingoperationsCPA is preferredSpecial Requirements Occasional late hours to meet month end deadlinesWork in the office 5 daysweek Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected VeteransIndividuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
