Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the the role of Electrical Resident Engineer we'll count on you to:Oversee the electrical upgrades and ensure adherence to project specification, timelines and budgetsManage and coordinat with subcontractors, suppliers and other personnel on-site to ensure timely and safe execution of the electrical workMonitor the day to day operations at the construction site to ensure work is performed in compliance with safety standards, engineering designs and local codesConduct regular site inspections to assess the progress and quality of electrical installations and identify any potential issuesReview and verify electrical designs to ensure they meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliancePerform quality control checks on completed work to ensure it meets the required standards and specificationsPerform regular safety inspections and risk assessment on-siteServes as the main point to contact between the project team, city agency, contractors and regulatory agenciesProvide progress reports, including electrical systems performance, to stakeholderAssist in the preparation and submission of documentation for regulatory permits and approvalsOversee the testing, commissioning and startup of the upgraded electrical systemsEnsure that all equipment and electrical systems are fully operational, meet performance specification and are ready for integration into the wastewater treatment processPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relatedNY Professional Engineer is strongly desiredExperience in working with high voltage electrical systems, generators, switchgear and control systems specific to wastewater treatment processesExperience with NYC DEP QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field 10 years related experience in various aspects of construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
