We are actively seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of production and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Perform maintenance activities on automated robotic welding equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, such as lubrication, checking and testingDissemble assemble of machinery and equipment for replacement of defective components and or sub-assemblies.Repair machinery and equipment using a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, torches, hammers, and wrenchesCollaborate with Production Engineer to modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)Make adjustments and verify operation of machinery and equipmentTest machinery equipment after repair to ensure proper operationRecord and maintain records of checks, tests, repairs, and parts numbers neededAssist manager with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventoriesAssist with mechanical rebuilds, installations, and movesUtilize mathematical calculations and read diagrams, manuals, and blueprintsRespond to production machine down calls in timely fashionOrder spare parts as needed for equipmentFollow standard work instructionsPerform other duties assignedOther Job FunctionsComply with FIC's Safety policies and proceduresComply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standardsPerform 5-S activities Requirements 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance with heavy industrial machinesproduction machinesProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC) modification experience requiredExperience with robotics, PLC, and automation systemsWorking knowledge of spot, MIG and TIG weldingExperience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loadsMust be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirementsMust be willing to cross-trainMust be able to work company's required overtimeMust comply with FIC's Attendance and Punctuality PolicyPay Range $22hour - $35hour, based on qualifications and experienceAdditional Compensation We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1hour shift differentialBenefits OfferedMedical plans offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Delta Dental, and VSP Vision Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Healthcare FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and Transit FSA401(k) - Company will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute to your 401(k)Basic Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability paid by employerOptional Supplemental Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid)Vacation, Holiday, and Personal Days PaidAbout FIC America Corp.Established in 1994 by Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd., we have been in Carol Stream, IL from the beginning and added an additional facility in Bloomingdale, IL.
