A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking an LMSW to join their staff in Manhattan as an Assistant Program Director. Responsibilities: The Assistant Program Director will: Manage social service delivery including program oversight, staff supervision, and training Manage 4-6 direct reports Liaise with external stakeholders including various service partners, government, community, and other agencies to ensure responsive and effective program service delivery Oversee delivery of services including adding individuals to outreach caseload; ensuring individuals are linked to case management; make referrals for psychiatric assessment, and treatment as appropriate Qualifications: MSW, MPH, or MPA required. NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) preferred Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience Experience working in 247 programs and working with homeless or formerly homeless populations strongly preferred Desired Skills: Thorough clinical understanding of relevant service delivery concepts and structures including Housing First, client centered motivational interviewing, Harm Reduction models, behavioral and medical health systems, and the ability to access and negotiate the full range of services for recipients Ability to work successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
