The Role We are seeking a highly analytical, detail oriented professional to join the team as a Credit Middle Office Operations Associate at Schonfeld in our New York City office. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the Credit Strategy while contributing to key initiatives and projects with an eye on process improvement, efficiency, control, scale, and minimizing operational riskWhat you'll doThis role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a relatively new business and set best practices to facilitate growth within a large and well-established hedge fund. The candidate will be responsible for supporting trade capture, confirmationaffirmation, system trade and data flow, settlement, reconciliation, life cycle events, P&L, and reporting. The candidate will partner with and oversee outsourced operational service providers. This is a highly collaborative role with regular interaction with our Credit PMs, Trading, Risk, Product, Technology, Treasury, Compliance, and Foundational operations teams to support the full lifecycle of a trade.What you'll bringWhat you need:A bachelor's degree in Finance or related field3-5 years of experience supporting credit tradingKnowledge of a range of credit instruments including but not limited to Corporate Bonds, Convertibles, Credit Default Swaps, Index Credit Default Swaps, Other Credit Derivatives, Private and Broadly Syndicated Bank Debt, Swaps, Claims and Post Reorg EquityExperience working with OMSPMS platformsExcels in a fast-paced, changing environment with the ability to multitask on daily trade volume and long-term projects to support growth of the Credit businessA self-starter who can drive daily process as well as projects and initiatives forwardIntellectually curious and adaptive to the needs of the businessA high-level approach while understanding the specifics and nuance with strong attention to detailA practical and open-minded approach to problem solving and an objective decision-making processAbility to foster and grow productive relationship with external service providersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong ownership and a track record of delivering resultsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsWe'd love if you had:Experience working in a multi strategy, multi-PM fund structureExperience with systems such as ICElink, CTM, TraianaAbility to write VBA macros and a basic understanding of codingKnowledge of and experience using Advent Geneva andor Wall Street OfficeWho we areSchonfeld Strategic Advisors is a global multi-strategy, multi-manager investment platform that harnesses the transformative power of people to perform in all market environments. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package.
